Workouts, history and settings

The workouts you save, your workout history and your settings are stored only on your iPhone. They are not sent to us. Like other app data, they may be included in backups of your iPhone, which Apple handles under your Apple Account. They stay until you delete them in the app or delete the app.

Apple Health

If you allow it, Interval Pal saves your completed workouts to the Apple Health app and reads the heart rate and active calories recorded during them (for example by an Apple Watch) to show in your workout summary and stats. This data stays on your device and in Apple Health. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and is never used for advertising. You can change or remove access at any time in the Apple Health app or in Settings.

Purchases

Interval Pal Pro is sold through Apple's App Store, and Apple processes all payments. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat, a subscription service, to confirm your purchases and unlock Pro. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase and subscription records, a random identifier created by the app (not your name, email or Apple Account), basic device and app details such as your iOS version, app version and App Store country, and your IP address as part of each connection.

RevenueCat handles this information on our behalf under a data processing agreement, which requires it to protect the information at least as well as this policy does. Purchase records are kept while they're needed to provide Pro, handle refunds and meet tax and legal obligations, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

The app also tells RevenueCat how many times the upgrade screen has been closed without buying (up to five). We use this only to decide which plans and prices to show next time, for example a discounted first year. RevenueCat may also show different people different prices so we can learn which works best. None of this is used to track you across other apps or websites. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your iPhone: alerts for each interval while a workout runs with the screen locked, and, if you start a free trial, a reminder two days before it ends. These are created on your device. We don't run a notification server and don't receive a device token.

Sharing workouts

When you share a workout, its name and timings are written into the link or message you send. It goes straight from your iPhone to whoever you send it to, using the app you choose. We don't receive it.

This website

intervalpal.com doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any website, the server that delivers these pages briefly handles standard connection details such as your IP address.

What we don't do

Interval Pal has no ads and no account to sign up for, and no analytics or tracking tools beyond the purchase information RevenueCat handles, described above. We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't use it to track you across other apps or websites.

Children

Interval Pal is a general fitness app and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and requests

You can turn off Apple Health access and notifications in Settings at any time, and delete the app to remove everything it stored. To ask what purchase information RevenueCat holds for your app identifier, or to have it deleted, email us and include your purchase details if you can. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Settings on your iPhone, under your Apple Account.

Changes

If we change how the app handles your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
